rvsa_locationRecreational Vehicle Service Academy (RVSA) has been preparing and certifying technicians for practice since 1986. Located in sunny Palmetto, Florida, our 5,600 sq. ft. training facility houses a multitude of repair equipment and practicing, veteran instructors. To our credit, virtually all short-term RV training schools have modeled their program after ours.

Our instruction is hands-on, and our instructors are, quite simply, true professionals with the natural ability to teach. Upon graduation, therefore, you will be Certified as an RV Technician. After one year of documented service in the field, your certification will be upgraded to Master RV Technician.

Our RV technician school offers the most complete curriculum in the industry, ranging from basic RV electricity and repair to advanced AC/DC electricity, generators, furnaces, refrigerators, air conditioning,* accessories, water heaters, water systems, solar systems, hitches, brakes, wiring, ranges & ovens, body repair, leveling systems, slides and PDI training.

Highly Qualified Staff at RVSA

Our Director, Dr. Tom Santoro, has dedicated a lifetime to education. He served as a public school administrator before founding the RV Service Academy in 1986. His background enabled him to write the curriculum in Kinesthetic (hands-on) terms. This is the fastest, most effective way to teach RV repair technicians.

Course Study

Our course of study to complete the certification program is 10 weeks, eight hours per day, five days a week. Courses are held three times per year starting in January, March and September. More than 60 percent of your time will involve hands-on training, where you’ll learn about multitudes of appliances and devices donated by EVERY major manufacturer and supplier of RV components.

A Multitude of Employment Opportunities

Since opening, our graduate employment rate has been excellent. With the “Boomers” reaching their leisure age, the prospect for technicians serving the industry either as employees or self-employed are extremely good. In fact, more then 60 percent of our graduates are either retirees or full timers. The RV service industry provides great jobs for the mechanically-minded, great jobs for our great veterans as well.
